#DeFlea Pet and Bedding Flea Spray for Dogs and Cats, 24-Ounce# Best Cheap Discount Sales Reviews

The dreaded flea had invaded my home. We’ve never had fleas before even with indoor/outdoor pets, long haired pets, and growing up in a forest so we were a little appalled and kept asking, “How did this happen?” Regardless of how it happened, the evidence was clear. Last Friday night, I combed out roughly 15 fleas from my cat and dog. Saturday, we did a thorough vacuuming of the apartment and sprayed this stuff down on all soft surfaces (couch, carpet, bathmat, curtains) and then still decided to take EVERYTHING to the laundromat to wash in hot, soapy water and then heat in a commercial dryer for 1 hour.

As for the spray, we put a plastic cone around our pets as high up on their neck as it would go and we sprayed them down all over. The cone was mostly to try and minimize breathing in the spray because we noticed it irritated our own throats. We then took the cone off and really tried to rub it in all over our pets – up the neck, in the areas where the legs meet the torso, and butt areas. Then, instead of leaving it on (we noticed how drying it was on our own hands so decided not to leave it on too long), we let it sit for a few minutes and then rinsed it off thoroughly.

We’ve been flea combing our pets daily since then and what we realized was this: the dog had pretty short hair and has been flea-free since using the spray. The cat, however, with it’s very dense, medium long fur still had some fleas but the count has been going down daily since the initial 20. Yesterday I was able to find 1 flea and it was a baby flea at that. This morning, I found none. Personally, I think we weren’t able to penetrate to the skin as well as the dog because the cat had so much hair. Because of this, the adult fleas were definitely affected and died but some of the larvae/pupae might have survived because we couldn’t/didn’t penetrate to the skin.

As for some of the reviewers’ claims that this product’s label as “natural” is false, we did some searching and here’s what we found. The main ingredient is basically a combination of a naturally occurring acid and a salt. In that respect, it’s unnatural but in my opinion, it’s a heckuva lot more natural than the stuff found in Hartz or other flea killing products that were bioengineered to kill fleas or act as Growth Inhibitors.

Also remember that this product is a one time treatment to kill existing fleas on your pet and doesn’t last a month like Frontline or Advantage. It’s topical, not internal like those other treatments. Also, remember to keep respraying and cleaning your house since this stuff kills fleas and pupae/larvae but NOT eggs. Eggs can be best dealt with through vacuuming and high temperature and any eggs you weren’t able to pick up the first time around may still hatch.

So:
1. Really try to penetrate to the skin.
2. I personally don’t recommend leaving the product on for sensitivity issues.
3. Your animal can be retreated in as little as three days for bad infestations.
4. You must treat your home as well or you will just continue to have fleas.
5. After the treatment, consider starting a monthly flea treatment like Frontline or Advantage. We chose Frontline Plus for the dog and Advantage for the cat.

DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT ON YOUR PET…………… – hmcc –
Both my cats got sick 2 hours after I used this product on them. (vomiting, diarrhea, seizing, foaming at the mouth, not eating or drinking for 2 days, hair falling out, etc). I followed the directions exactly. I recommend you not use this product on your pet.

Made cat sick! Scary! – DB –
This was advertised to me as natural and safe to use on my cats. The instructions actually say to “Spray the entire animal…spray until entire coat is damp.” I gave my cat one spritz to try it. As soon as she licked herself (like every wet cat will do) she began instantly foaming at the mouth to a pretty extreme extent. It was pretty scary. Even after she calmed down, another lick made it start right back up. I had to quickly run her into the shower to wash this stuff out of her coat. The instructions say not to apply to the pet’s nose or mouth, but when it also says “spray until entire coat is damp” of course the cat will lick itself. Scary stuff. It may be fine for their bedding and everything else, but I won’t ever spray this directly on my cats again.

Great flea spray (no residual effect though) – S. Patton –
This is a natural solution to kill fleas. It does just that, it will kill adults and liquify eggs, larvae, and pupae. You can brush it into your cat’s fur and spray on litter boxes and cat boxes and floors and carpets. The only problem is, because it’s natural and doesn’t have any insect growth regulator (IGR) chemicals, it doesn’t have a residual effect (meaning, it won’t keep future fleas from having eggs, it’ll kill whatever you spray with it, but if you miss a flea or egg, they’ll come back). We actually ended up using a spray that had IGR over the whole house and then do spot sprays with this on things we and our kitten touch. Smell is minimal and it will leave a little bit of a sticky residue on hard floors but it goes away soon. Solid product.

Video Game Live Review

#Natural Chemistry De Flea Shampoo# Best Cheap Discount Sales Reviews

This is the only “natural” product that I’ve used on my dog that actually killed fleas. It works mechanically, not chemically, so you don’t have to worry about poisoning your animal. If you look at the manufacturer’s website you’ll see that the EPA requires no warning label because it is completely safe for humans and the environment. It also explains the mechanics of how it kills fleas. There is something about that action that can make your animal have a large amounts of drool for a couple of hours if they lick themselves after application. They claim that it is nothing to worry about. You can always just rinse the product off after applying to avoid that issue. As far as I can tell the residual effect (if you don’t wash off) is pretty short lived, so you have to consider if you want to use an additional spot on treatment or not.
Be assured this product does kill fleas and is great for bedding as well.

It’s a miracle – Marvella – United States
The customer who gave it one star does not know what they’re talking about. It clearly states on the bottle: “Sensitivity may occur after using ANY pesticide product for pets. If any signs of sensitivity occur, bathe your pet with mild soap and rinse with large amounts of water…”

I had great success using De Flea Pet Shampoo and De Flea Pet and Bedding spray on my two dogs. There was no sensitivity like with regular pesticides. But most importantly of all, the flea infestation and itching stopped immediately. It’s like a minor miracle.

Watch for sensitivity – K. M. RICHARDS – Texas USA
Both my self and my daughter bought this product for our new Scottish Terrier puppies as we wanted to go all natural with our food and care. The shampoo says it can be used on puppies, kittens, and even nursing mothers. We both started using this product when our puppies were about 12 weeks of age. I noticed that after washing our puppy he would start to scratch but the scratching would stop after a few days so I did not think about relating the scratching to the shampoo. This continued until last week when I bathed him and noticed he started to scratch more violently! I told my husband I did not know why he was scratching as I had just bathed him! (duh)! After a couple of hours of this I turned him over to see if I could find why he was scratching and found he was covered in a red rash all over his entire body! Well then I knew what it was so I quickly rewashed him in my shampoo and within an hour the rash started to go away. I called my daughter and told her and she said she was going to call me as she had started to notice that her puppy was scratching after washing in Natural chemistry Shampoo. She also rewashed her puppy in her shampoo and the scratching has stopped for her puppy also. I called the 800 number on the shampoo bottle and was told that it sounded like our dogs were allergic to something in the shampoo. I asked why the shampoo bottle was not labeled to watch for scratching or sensitivity and was told, “well we can’t label everything!” I never write reviews but felt I must on this as our Scottish puppies were being hurt everytime we washed them and we thought we were protecting them!
